What can you expect when you work with a Camden Lane Interior in home designer? Our design process is streamlined to keep your project moving forward. We communicate clearly with you at every phase, so the final result reflects your needs and tastes just as expected.
First, our lead home design expert comes out to visit your space for a one-on-one walkthrough. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know you, your tastes and lifestyle and any of your design dilemmas.
So often, people find it difficult to see the potential of their home, in terms of storage, style, flow and functionality. In many cases, we’re able to problem-solve a simple solution for an issue the homeowner feared was a major roadblock. Minor changes like a new lighting fixture, rug or feature wall can make a big difference on a small budget.
Whether you’re ready to renovate or just getting ideas about how your space can work for you, a design consultation is the best place to start. Our on-the-spot design advice will leave you with exciting new ideas about your home’s hidden potential.
After the walkthrough, we’ll send you a customized quote based on your project and what plans we’ve discussed for the space.
Once you approve our quote, we’ll come back for a kick-off meeting. This time, we want to hear even more about your needs and personal style: wish lists, Pinterest inspiration boards, magazine clippings or anything else that helps us unlock your dream home.
We’ll take photos and measurements of your home, and then it’s off to the drawing board!
Three to four weeks later, we’ll meet back up for the Design Presentation. This is where we get into furniture boards, layout designs, paint colours, finishes and materials. Our home design boutique uses 3D visual walkthroughs to let you actually see what the final product will look like. The furniture placement and styling in the 3D lets your feel confident that the scale, placement and proportions will work for your needs.
We’ll leave you some time to review and discuss the presentation. Some revisions are included in this phase, to make sure we get the design just right.
Once we have your design approval, it’s time to turn our plans into a reality! Our team jumps into ordering the necessary materials and furniture. We’re happy to work with our clients’ contractors, or we have our own roster of trusted tradespeople we can coordinate.
You’ll see big changes in Phase 3. The walls get painted, the floors redone and we see the delivery of furniture and major accessories start.
Once the furniture starts to arrive, it’s time for us to focus on those finishing touches that really tie the room together. We think of the Styling Phase as putting the finishing touches on a painting, or adding jewellery
Staying within your budget, we source and purchase the smaller pieces that elevate the look: artwork, drapes, mirrors, rugs, lamps and pillows. Once they’re arranged in displays on feature walls or dressing up surfaces, you’ll be amazed at how polished and cohesive the room now looks.
